LESSON 1

– Introductions and Ice Breaker
– The anatomy of the guitar
– Names of the strings: “Elephants And Donkeys Grow Big Ears”
– How to have a good posture with the guitar
– Picking open strings with the right hand – apoyando technique
– The crotchet – how to keep a steady beat

LESSON 2

– Recap of last week: guitar posture, names of open strings and right hand techniques
– Play an arpeggio exercise with just the right hand
– Learn how to fret notes using the left hand – Spider exercise
– Learn the notes A, C and D (on G and B strings)
– Learn the songs “Mary Had a Little Lamb” and “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”

LESSON 3

– Play game “Guitar Simon Says”
– Warmup: review last week’s Spider Exercise
– Review the notes A, C and D (on G and B strings)
– Learn how to use the thumb – Melodies in Lower Part with One-String Accompaniment
– Continue working on the songs “Mary Had a Little Lamb” and “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”
– Learn the song “Old McDonald”

LESSON 4

– Warmup with the Spider Exercise
– Review songs “Mary Had a Little Lamb”, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and “Old McDonald”
– Review thumb technique – Melodies in Lower Part with One-String Accompaniment
– Learn the notes F and G (on high E string)
– Learn the song “On the Bridge of Avignon” and “Little Ladder”

LESSON 5

– Warmup with the Spider Exercise
– Review the notes F and G (on high E string)
– Continue working on the songs “On the Bridge of Avignon” and “Little Ladder”
– Learn the song “There Was Once a Little Frog”
– Play a game – The Scale Challenge

LESSON 6

– Warmup with the Spider Exercise
– Learn the Bass notes
– Review thumb technique – Melodies in Lower Part with One-String Accompaniment

Things you should know before taking the HUNARly classes:

1. Every Lesson at HUNARly is great learning, please set a reminder for the dates and timings of the Online Programme so that the child does not miss on the subject. We start our lessons on time, so make sure to join the link a few minutes before the class starts.

3. After enrolling to the course, you will get access to ‘Learning Portal’ Tab. You can see the class notes listed, but we recommend the children to practice only what is completed in the class, and not to rush for lessons ahead. The teacher can sometimes go slow or go ahead in the Learning Portal depending on the session’s progress.
4. As these are small group lessons, so the course start date or classes during the holidays are tentative and can be slightly moved if more than 70% of participants have requested a change or are not available.
5. During the course, if the teacher is not available, then we have the right to arrange a cover teacher or extend the course dates. We handpick the best teachers and do the due diligence for you so that the child’s learning is not discontinued.
6. We are only responsible for the teaching of the courses and not the exam registrations. We can guide you upon request but we encourage you to be on top with the dates and submissions so that you do not miss out on important deadlines.

Cancellation policy

As our courses require upfront payment, we kindly request parents to review the following cancellation policy before booking sessions with us. This will assist both parents and our team in planning sessions effectively, ensuring a more significant impact on your child’s learning journey with HUNARly.

1. In a group class, if either parent decides to pause or cancel lessons after the initial payment instalment, please inform us 4 weeks in advance. If you choose to leave before the first instalment , a minimum 4-week notice is required. This allows us time to enroll new students and ensures fairness for others in the group.
2. If one student leaves in a 2-1 group, the pricing will revert to 1-1 rates for the remaining student until a new member joins the group.
3. In case of lesson cancellations due to emergencies, the course fee will be converted into credits for future use.
4. Any No Shows will be charged half price.
5. In group lessons if you are not able to attend the lesson then tutor will try to catchup with your child in the next lesson. You will have access to the class notes, and class recording.
6. For 1-1, any regular cancellations we need to be informed minimum 24hrs prior and more earlier if possible so that tutors can make other plans.
7. For 2-1, any regular cancellations we need to be informed minimum 24hrs prior so that we can check if tutor & the other parent is willing to change on the dates, mostly this works in a friendly adjusting manner.
8. We will inform parents at least 24 hours in advance, or even earlier, if the tutor is unable to attend. This allows you to make alternative plans. In the event that we notify you on the same day or early, we will reschedule the session for your next available day. However, if we provide late notice (within 4 hours), the next lesson is on us and free for you.
